When you think of sex life influences BPA (Bisphenol-A) isn’t usually the first thing that comes to mind. However, a five-year study of factory workers has linked poor sperm quality to food and drinks, in cans, plastic bottles, and other products.

The study of 514 factory workers in China, conducted by investigators from the research division of Kaiser Permanente, a leading US provider of health care and not-for-profit health plans, reported an adverse association between BPA and semen quality. .

Lead author Dr.De-Kun Li, a reproductive and perinatal epidemiologist at Kaiser Permanent’s Division of Research in Oakland, California and colleagues, have also found that exposure to high levels of BPA at work increased risk of reduced sexual function in men.

Li said the findings may point to problems beyond the male reproductive system: semen quality and male sexual dysfunction could be an early sign of disease. These would include both metabolic conditions as well as cancer.

So making sure you stay young and healthy may be a matter of where your food is stored. The future of foods may hold the key to the future of your sex life. It looks like your libido is a function of modern day living. Beverages in bottles, and canned foods may be the reason for a low sperm count and a poor sex life.

Among the men who work with BPA, the risk of having difficulty ejaculating was seven times greater than in the non-exposed group. The risk of erectile problems was more than four times greater. The BPA exposed group also reported a higher rate of a low sex drive.

Remember, these men were exposed to BPA Epoxy resin used in the lining of canned foods which is another source of BPH in addition to plastics. The findings are consistant with the hypothesis that BPA, can minic the effects of estogen and may block male sex hormones (including testosterone). Animal studies have also shown this effect.

The factory workers in China were exposed to a much larger dose then we would get from the bottles, cans, and other goods, but it still shows that consumers are in danger. We use BPA plastic bottles, canned foods, and other plastics that are capable over time of exposing us to a substancial amount.of BPA. We have been using these products for a long enough time for it to have exposed most of the population to enough for some concern.

The unwanted side effects of BPA are a clear and present danger. BPA shows up in the urine of boys. We may be counteracting the normal hormonal balance in boys.

We know diet, stress, and hormones affect sexual drive and function. Modern living is sometimes accompanied by unwanted side effects. Staying clear of BPA is not as easy as one would like. Consumers are exposed to plastics in so many products that it doubtful that there is a comfortable recommended level that can be guaranteed safe.

Since we think that technology will solve all our problems, this is one that may present enormous opportunity and usher in an era of new breakthroughs in alternative reproductive techniques.

Help, my mom found my birth control pills, while searching my room. I am an eco child, which means sex is fine, but chemical hormones aren’t. This is a whole new world where natural alternatives to birth control are welcome.

It is a strange new world where sexual expression is considered natural, and birth control pills foreign to the body. This is a primary concern for parents who brought their children up green. To my parents it is a frightful thought to have me destroy my health with a manufactured product such as this.

I am a product of people who are pragmatic about avoiding anything from a laboratory. When I am moody or bloated, it seems that my birth control pills usage is questioned. Personally, I would like something made from botanicals, to support my health. It is apparent to me that there is a direct connection to my weight gain and erratic mood swings. I see it in my friends and roommates at college.

The problem is most of us don’t entirely trust the condoms, or withdrawal methods. There are actually times that we haven’t had sexual relationships for a few months. We aren’t maintaining the dosage, and are on and off these pills, which means we reduce the effectiveness.

Our legendary sexual freedom comes with new kinds of pressures. Rebuilding relationships with parents that like to have you living under a controlled environment, isn’t unique. But the message of today is different, and the impact of our decisions will be carried for life. We are a generation on the brink, and all our parents’ lectures only help us realize that there is no straightforward answer. We have to bridge the gap between our unique situation and our parent’s philosophy.

Women's sexual enhancement is an answer to prominent issues in women's sex life. Factors negatively influencing female sex drive are eliminated by women's sexual enhancement products assuring women of sexual satisfaction.

Women’s Sexual Enhancement Aimed at Improving Female Sex Life

By Natasha Rogelstad

One prominent issue affronting the medical profession today is female sexual dysfunction and women’s sexual enhancement. Sexual dysfunction or also called female sexual arousal disorder is a condition in which a woman suffers from poor sexual drive or experiencing low capacity to achieve an orgasm while having sexual intercourse with their partners.

Urge for sexual activities and low libido are two of the factors that have major influence on female sexual dysfunction. These negative influences more often than not make women depressed as this becomes an additional baggage to the burden that it brings about in her personal relationship. Fortunately there are now answers to women’s sexual enhancement to rescue women from their sexual dilemma.

When women’s sexual enhancement was designed, the female needs are the prioritized considerations. Sexual enhancement products for women are targeted at making a woman’s sex drive enhanced and treating sexual issues such as vaginal dryness often caused by conditions such as menopause. Women who are in their menopausal stage often experience dryness in the genitals and is the primary negative influence to female sex drive and desire for any sexual activity.

Sexual enhancement products make women aware of the changes that their body undergoes as the products work its way to the female body. Women can actually bid farewell to sexual issues through the help of sexual enhancers. Intercourse with their partners would not mean painful experiences anymore as the enhancement products work double time to make a woman more satisfied with her sex life.

Women’s sexual enhancement provides good results that lead to increased satisfaction. Females who have not sought these enhancing products yet might be surprised with how sex drive is valuably enhanced by the use of such products. Women who like to enjoy sex to the hilt should not be hindered by any factors influencing their sex drive or be walled out by sexual dysfunction.

Trusted women’s sexual enhancer products should contain the right herbs that effectively alleviate the symptoms of menopausal. Factors such as stress and low genital lubrication can both be relieved and treated by sex enhancing products. Further, the estrogen level can also be pushed up by these helpful supplements which in turn make lubrication natural and easy. Instead of the continuous negative influence, sex enhancements and its natural contents boost sexual functions and specifically eliminate sexual problems.

Trusted sexual enhancements for women gained its success in the fact that they do not contain any side effect, do not interfere with certain medications but just works efficiently at serving females and making them more delighted and satisfied with their sexual lives, increased urges and enhanced sexual activities.

Lubes-Slipping into Some Good Loving

Slipping into some good loving gets some help from sexual lubricants.

When it comes to both pleasure and protection sexual lubricants are up for the job.

Who Needs Sexual Lubricants

Anyone who has sex can find good reasons to use personal lubricants. It is a natural solution for having a comfortable experience. There are real reasons that it is necessary for some couples. Wetness in the vagina can decrease at times due to stress, medication, birth control pills, and age. Using a lubricant can help with pleasure. Vaginal dryness can cause intercourse to be painful. Lubricants boost the sensations and allows for longer penetration.

Stimulating

Applying a personal lube is actually stimulating to the body’s more sensitive places. The right kind can protect the integrity of the condom. If the vagina is dry it can cause friction on the condom, and cause a small tear.

Types of Lubes

You want something as close to natural moisturizing as you can get. The more natural the formula, the closer it is to nature.

Understanding the differences means looking at all the options. Lubricants can be oil, water, or silicone based. They can be flavored and be scented.

Oil-Based

Oil-based lubes can break down the latex condoms, dams, gloves, and other latex products used to make sex safer. This also means sex toys made of latex.

Oil based lubricants can also cause the same problem with diaphragms.

The oil leaves a coating that can lead to bacterial infections in the vagina, or anal area.. Oil based lubricants are risky if you want to avoid pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases.

They may keep you lubricated longer, but that may not override the risks.

Silicone-Based

Silicone-based tubes are a newer form of lubrication. This can be used with condoms. They are tougher to wash off. It is irritating and can’t be left on for too long. Another drawback is they can damage sex toys that are made of silicone.

This lubricant should be tried on your inner arm or thigh first to see if you are sensitive or are allergic. It can lead to a rash and a burning sensation in the area used for the test. This is a problem because this can be difficult to wash off.

Silicone lubricants are not for a quick jump into the sack since they are water insoluble, it is just about impossible to wash the lubricant off most materials. If this sex is a secret tryst than it won’t be a secret for long, silicone leaves marks on the sheets and other fabrics that it may get on. These stains are usually permanent.

Water-Based

Water-based sex lubricant is a favorite for very good reason. They are user friendly. They work well with condoms, and any latex product. Water-based lubes are not sticky or messy like either oil or silicone based tubes. Cleanup just takes a little warm water. The one downside depending on your perspective is you may have to reapply it. This depends on how long the sexual activity takes.

Protective Lubricates with Carrageenan

Protective lubricates are the ones that do double duty. One they make sex so much more enjoyable, while offering some sort of protection.

The ones with carrageen are know to help protect against sexually transmitted disease. This is especially true for HPV infection.

Sexual lubrication has become popular, and now many retailers and drug stores stock this product. Playful pleasure is now easy to purchase locally or on-line. One of our favorite sexual lubricants is Divine 9 and can be found at their website.

Men are often left to wonder about issues that are common to many men, particularly questions about men's sexual health.

Reliable Information Answers Men’s Sexual Health Questions

By Chris Robertson

As adolescents, boys get their information about sexuality and men’s sexual health from their peers. As teens, locker room talk may titillate, but it provides little in the way of accurate information about men’s health issues. Unfortunately, while adult women are likely to seek out information from professionals, men are more reticent to discuss questions about men’s sexual health and men’s health news in general with their doctors or other professionals. When compared to women, they’re also less likely to discuss their concerns with other men. As a result, men are often left to wonder about issues that are common to many men, particularly questions about men’s sexual health.

Luckily, with the explosion of the Internet, a wealth of information has become available that answers men’s questions – anonymously. While there are certainly many bogus sites with misinformation, discerning men are able to find reputable websites that discuss men’s issues or that include a men’s health forum.

Men’s sexual health questions cover a wide range of topics. For example, condoms are widely (and correctly) seen as both a contraceptive and a way of protecting against sexually transmitted diseases. Nonetheless, many men opt not to use condoms. In a men’s health forum, men can get the facts and news about condoms, while also discussing risks, tips, and personal experiences.

Another men’s sexual health topic often covered by a men’s health forum is erectile dysfunction. Despite pharmaceutical advances over the past decade, many men find it embarrassing to discuss this topic with friends or even their physicians. By visiting a reputable online information source, men can find answers to the questions and alleviate their concerns, as well as discovering options for correcting the problem.

Other men’s questions revolve around more general issues, such as how to improve the libido. A forum can address both underlying medical causes, as well as identify lifestyle issues that could impact desire, such as fitness, dieting, and weight management.

Some men’s sexual health questions are very specific. For example, men’s health issues might include abnormal urethra development, the inability to retract the foreskin, Peyronie’s disease, venous leakage, and so forth. Obtaining reliable information online will often encourage men to take the next step and seek care from their medical professionals. Being able to identify and intelligently discuss a problem increases men’s comfort levels in discussing men’s health issues with doctors.

Needless to say, sexually transmitted diseases should be a centerpiece of all discussions about men’s sexual health. There is so much misinformation and sheer ignorance about STDs that men must be able to anonymously access accurate information about HIV/AIDS, gonorrhea, herpes, and syphilis.

A cornerstone of men’s sexual health – and the ability to fully enjoy a sexual relationship – is accurate information. An online men’s health forum is an excellent way to answer men’s questions and concerns, and when necessary, urge them to seek medical attention.

By Serge Taylor

The causes of erectile dysfunction (ED) can be physiological and or psychological.

If you suffer with any form of ED you need to discuss it with your doctor.

By visiting your doctor you can determine the cause of your erectile dysfunction and get the correct treatment from the start. If you find that there is no physical reason for your condition then a doctor is the best person to refer you to the appropriate psychologist or perhaps even a sex therapist to help you.

Some physiological cause of erectile dysfunction can be increased cholesterol, hypertension, and diabetes. By seeing your doctor and being tested you will be able to find out or eliminate these factors before you start treatment.

Obviously age can be a factor for a number of reasons including the increased chance of developing one of the above conditions as we get older.

These kinds of health complaints can create artery hardening that will restrict normal blood flow throughout the body, including of course the penis.

Additionally, long term diabetes can also lead to damaged nerves and damage to smaller blood vessels. Many men with erectile problems will often have diabetes or pre diabetes issues that need to be addressed.

Today there are a number of commonly used prescription medications that can lead to ED.

Drugs for hypertension as well as drugs for heart problems, anti depressant meds, and a number of sedatives and tranquilizers all affect a man’s ability to achieve and maintain an erection. Many freely available over the counter meds can also lead to erection problems.

If you are on medication of any kind and begin to notice a loss of erectile function then you need to check immediately with your doctor to make the needed changes.

And of course illegal drug abuse that has been ongoing will also affect your ability to achieve and maintain an erection.

And it’s not just women who have hormonal imbalances. Many men, and especially so as they approach middle age, can suffer with hormonal issues that can lead to ED.

Lowered testosterone levels can lead to a loss of sexual desire (lowered libido) as well as difficulty getting an erection.

There are other possibly serious side effects of a low level of testosterone that your doctor will be able to identify and help you with.

If you think this could be the cause of your ED then see your doctor ASAP to rule out any serious underlying condition.

Nervous system issues such as spinal cord damage, as well as damage to nerves or brain injury can also lead to erection problems.

The problem with these conditions is one of communication from the brain to the penis. If the correct messages cannot get through, then difficulties with erections and normal sexual function can occur.

Often, their can be post surgical erection difficulty if the surgery was performed in or around the pelvis or genitals.

Peyronie’s Disease is a rare medical condition that can lead to erection dysfunction due to it causing damage and scarring to the tissues of the penis. The damage to penile tissue can lead to pain and distortion of the penis making erection virtually impossible.

Many men suffer from some form of venous leakage which can lead to ED.

What happens in this case is that enough blood will flow to the penis so that an erection can be achieved, but blood will begin to leak almost immediately so the erection will sub-side very quickly making intercourse impossible. The causes of this kind of leakage can be injury to the area or disease.

And then there are the psychological causes of erectile dysfunction.

Day to day stress, depression, simple fatigue, resentment towards your partner, performance anxiety, are just some of the possible mental and emotional causes of erectile dysfunction. And just like the physiological causes of ED they can also be treated once you know what you are dealing with.

Today more and more men are suffering with sexual problems of which ED is just one. The stress that men experience as well as other health concerns that generally speaking men will tend to ignore can all lead to an inability to achieve and maintain an erection. The best advice is to see your doctor to at least find out what is causing your erectile dysfunction issue.

As women age they go through hormonal changes that can make sexual arousal and sexual interest transition from little to non-existent. Menopause is a natural event in every woman’s life, so how do you combat the inevitable? Giving up on your sexual satisfaction doesn’t have to be the answer. With advances in the natural female enhancement market, more natural solutions to this unavoidable problem are being made possible each day.

The main focus of female enhancement products is ultimately on female sexual health. This means these products are made from blends of herbs that naturally increase libido, sexual arousal and improves faltering hormone levels. Unlike prescription hormone replacement products, these natural herbs have a more gradual and safer effect on the body. There are few, if any, side effects to herbal female enhancement supplements, because the blends in these products are made from all-natural ingredients.

For many women, female enhancement focuses on lubrication and bodily secretions. These are important to female satisfaction and sexual arousal. Most enhancement products created for women’s sexual health provide a healthy boost to the systems in the body that help boost lubrication and bodily secretions. In some cases, these supplements are available in cream form to directly address issues of lubrication and promote a more satisfying sexual experience.

Aphrodisiacs are another answer to improving female enhancement. Ingredients such as Horny Goat Weed, Ginseng and Damiana leaves are well known in the supplement industry for the improvements they make to female arousal. Female enhancement supplements that focus on providing an aphrodisiac-like effect contain a blend of all three of these ingredients plus a pro-hormone blend to help combat the issues caused by menopause.

Although the sexual enhancement market is primarily focused on providing answers for men’s sexual health, there are a variety of enhancements for women to choose from. When choosing a supplement for female enhancement, it’s important to choose one that keeps your overall health and your sexual health in mind.

Part of taking care of a woman’s health is to have a regular Pap test, it is also known as Pap smear test. It’s a simple process of checking if there are any changes in the cells of your cervix. According to studies there are natural methods that a woman can simply follow to help avoid the main causes of cervical cancer. Below are some methods that may serve as a guide:

•	Strengthen your defenses by eating cabbage. According to studies consuming cabbage and other closely related vegetable helps in fighting cervical cancer-infected cells. It also strengthens the immune system. Eating other vegetables like broccoli or cauliflower will also be a big help, but overcooking is not recommended.

•	Strengthen the immune system by simply reading. It is no longer a secret that experiencing chronic stress produces harmful effects in a person’s health. It is highly advised to forget problems in our life at least ten (10) minutes each day by reading entertaining books. According to studies it can lower stress levels up to sixty eight percent (68%).

•	Eat high folate rich foods. People who have a low intake of folic acid in their bodies are more prone to have pre-cancerous injuries. According to written articles by some experts, people with inadequate intake of vitamin B causes the cervical membrane to become weak and easily be infected by viruses that attacks the cells in a more faster rate. It is highly advice to consume folate rich foods like fortified breakfast cereals, spinach and asparagus.

•	Maintain the health of your tissue by drinking green tea. Green tea is known to be a good source of antioxidant which fights cancer cells. One may protect herself from the threat of cervical cancer by consuming few cups of green tea every day.

HPV – Immunization – The Facts Are Simple

By Prescott Small

While abstinence is 100% effective for those that make that choice. Condoms can work but are only effective is used correctly and as long as they do not break. These solution have absolutely no benefit for those that are victims of sex crimes like rape or molestation.

It is a hard pill to swallow but 1 in 8 women are raped in their life time.

According to the National center for Victims of Crime:

12.1 million American women have been victims of forcible rape. In other words, 13% or one out of eight adult American women has been the victim of forcible rape in her lifetime. (National Center for Victims of Crime & Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center, 1992.)

In 1994, 64.2% of all rapes and sexual assaults were committed by offenders who were previously known to the victim. (Ringel, 1997).

The fact is these women are often in a much higher risk group for STI’s (Sexually Transmitted Infections). Very often these victims are young girls or young women. This vaccine can at least spare them this additional risk after such a horrible violation. Then look at the facts: How common is HPV in the population? Chances are that you have already had, currently have it or will have it.

According to the CDC:

At least 50% of sexually active people will get HPV at some time in their lives. Every year in the United States (U.S.), about 6.2 million people get HPV. HPV is most common in young women and men who are in their late teens and early 20s.

As published in the April, 2005 issue of April issue of the journal Lancet Oncology

The vaccine “…human papillomavirus that are most likely to cause cervical cancer or genital warts was 89% effective in preventing infection with the viral strains and 100% effective in preventing cervical cancer, precancerous lesions or genital warts, according to a study published in the April issue of the journal Lancet Oncology.”

According to the CDC:

The FDA has licensed the HPV vaccine as safe and effective. This vaccine has been tested in over 11,000 females (ages 9-26 years) around the world. These studies have shown no serious side effects. The most common side effect is soreness at the injection site. CDC, working with the FDA, will continue to monitor the safety of the vaccine after it is in general use.

So testing has been done on girls as young as 9. This is a perfectly acceptable form of prevention based on legitimate research and reputable sources. In medicine you weight the benefit versus risk. The research is showing that the biggest risk with the injection is a sore spot at the injection site, something akin to a slight soreness, probably very similar to my allergy shots. So a day of very mild almost imperceptible irritation. The other side of this coin is that there is a 1 in 8 chance that the person could have pre-cancerous cells forming on their cervix.

The prevalence of the disease if extremely widespread and can be found everywhere. Every one of you knows someone who has is, will have it or already had it. If you have ever had sex you probably had sex with someone that had it. So it will definitely meet the “requirement” to be wide spread. So the Government can easily show in court that it has a “compelling interest” due the fact that this disease is in fact wide spread.

“… the Arkansas Supreme Court in Wright v. DeWitt School District45 held that no First Amendment right existed to a religious exemption given the state’s compelling interest in mandating vaccination under its police power to protect the public health.g (238 Ark. at 913, 385 S.W.2d at 648). Significantly, the U.S. Supreme Court in Yoder referenced the Wright decision in dicta regarding cases in which the health of the child or public health are at issue, with the implication that a vaccination mandate providing no religious exemption would meet the compelling state interest test (406 U.S. at 230, 92 S.Ct. at 1540-1).”

I can tell you from experience that the scare these precancerous cells cause are not fun. My wife went through this a few years ago. While it is really not a very big deal if caught early, that wait for analysis is fairly nerve wracking. If a simple vaccine could have prevented such a thing, It would have been well worth it.

This is a public health issue, the problem is wide spread and large numbers of Americans are at risk from this disease that we now have the power to eradicate. To put this in perspective, Approximately 20 million Americans (CDC) have this disease; that is equal to the population of the entire state of Texas.

When it comes to this disease, people need to look at the facts and not the hysteria generated by a politically motivated religious right movement that obviously has zero concern for the health of girls or women. It is amazing how much of this anti-vaccine agenda is promoted using out right lies and misinformation. What ever happened to “though shall not lie?” In fact lying and intentionally endangering the health of hundreds of thousands of people is repugnant and amoral.
